LINCOLN, Neb. — Finding someone to blame for this Rutgers 14-7 loss to Nebraska was as easy as finding a cornfield in this state. You just had to point your finger in any direction.

There was the offensive coordinator, Kirk Ciarrocca, who abandoned the run early in the game despite promising results. There were the referees, who (wrongly) told head coach Greg Schiano that running back Kyle Monangai failed to score on a crucial third-down play. And, yes, there was Schiano himself, who had another forgettable day on the sidelines with his subpar game management.
